Job Description

Discover the Enchanted Valley of Young Harris, GA, and the wonderful people of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, located on the Young Harris College campus! The Director of Music will plan, implement, and supervise the music activities of the church, under the direction of the pastor. Responsibilities include directing the choir and small groups, coordinating choral and instrumental music for two Sunday worship services, and directing special musical events and programs as requested. The Director of Music will supervise the organist and the pianist. Job requirements are a minimum of five years’ experience as a choral music director and a Bachelor’s degree in music. Supervisory experience required. Individual musical performance skills are desirable.
