Vice President of Community

The Vice President of Community maintains oversight of the Community Working Group and all its tasks, convening meetings of the Working Group at least monthly. This group is charged with addressing chapter, membership, and fellowship/community-related concerns of The Fellowship, as well as other issues as assigned by the Executive Board. The Community Working Group includes the Vice-President of Community, the Chapter Coordinator, the Membership Coordinator, and other committee leaders or at-large members as needed.


Michael is an ordained deacon in the North Georgia Annual Conference where he has served as the Minister of Worship at Hillside UMC in Woodstock, GA for the past 10 years. Michael has also served churches in Monroe, LA; Slidell, LA; and St. Louis, MO. Michael holds degrees from the University of Louisiana at Monroe (BME), University of New Orleans (MM), Asbury Theological Seminary (MTS), and the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies (DWS). He has served as the chair of the Design Team for the Music and Worship Arts week at Lake Junaluska, worship leader for MWAW, and a clinician/seminar leader at MWAW and National Convocation for the Fellowship. Michael and his wife, Katie, have three children, Allie, Aubrey, and Carson, and reside in Woodstock, GA.
