Recording Secretary

The Recording Secretary prepares and maintains minutes of all business meetings, is responsible for the compilation and review of the organization’s actions and legislation, assists in the preparation of an annual report summarizing the state of The Fellowship, works with the national office to direct the preparation and distribution of the ballot for all national elections, and communicates the results of national elections and appointments to the membership.

Biography

Jane Wright serves at Westwood United Methodist Church in Kalamazoo, MI. Although officially “retired” as a staff member, she continues to participate in the church’s handbell, praise team, worship team, food pantry, prayer sisters, and sewing ministries. She is also a vocal and clarinet soloist and a member of the United Methodist Women. Outside of church, Jane serves as a volunteer support for the YWCA in their sexual assault ministry and is a member of the Kalamazoo Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition. She is the founder of the Capital City Ringers in Lansing, MI, and recently retired after conducting the ensemble for 30 years. Jane is the acting Secretary/Treasurer for the Michigan Chapter of The Fellowship and previously served as a Secretary for the Handbell Musicians of America/Area V.
