The Immediate Past President meets monthly with the Executive Board and with Working Groups as needed, serves as the chair of the Nominating Committee and as chair and convener of the Past Presidents Council.

Biography

Laura is a clergy member of the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference, appointed as the conference secretary. Her secondary appointment is minister of ritual at Sellwood Faith Community, a small house church in Portland. Laura holds degrees from Lewis and Clark College (BA) and Boston University (MSM, STM); the latter named her a Distinguished Alumna in 2018. Laura headed the Oregon-Idaho delegation to General Conference in 2012 and served as the Worship and Music Director for General Conference 2016. She has offered national leadership for The Fellowship in a variety of capacities, including serving as president from 2015-17. Laura enjoys combining her gifts for organization and detail with her passion for creative worship.
